Navigating Life: Day 8- After Spouse Death

April 9, 2026 -Day 8

I know you are with me. I feel you.

So I have to live with that truth.

I always felt you when you were here in the physical world, whether we were sitting next to each other or on opposite sides of the country.

Our connection has always been strong, anchored in the Most High.

I will forever have our memories. Our life together. Our love.

I am thankful and will always remember us.

I love you, babe. And I will continue to love you, no matter the distance between us.

Thank You, God, that he is no longer suffering.

His sickness was a major focus in our relationship for so long. I watched you fight for 15 years to manage your diabetes.

You just wanted to feel normal.

No daily needles, food intake monitoring, me on your back with every sugary drink and tasty cake.

This morning, I realized I have to take better care of myself too.

I am all the boys have left.

I have to build a solid foundation for them in case anything ever happens to me.

We had a blueprint for our life, and I’ve started reaching out to lawyers to create a trust for the boys, just like we talked about.

I find myself thanking you more now.

I thanked you when you were here for everything you did for us… but now I thank you even more, because I can see it clearer than ever.

Everything you gave us is showing up in a deeper way now.

Thank you for the guidance.Thank you for the support.Thank you for loving us the way you did.

I am doing my best to function.

And I know my strength… my mental processing… it all reflects the bond we shared.

I love you, babe.

Damn…

I will always love and honor you.

I choose to live in the glory of The Most High. To honor you. To raise our amazing young men. To take care of myself. And to make sure you continue to live on through everything you poured into us.
