LyPh be lyPhing’.And sometimes, in the middle of all that lifing’, we start to feel like we’ve lost our voice.
Not the one people hear. But the one that whispers, “You got this.”
The one that says, “You are still powerful.”
As black woman we heal in silence and keep showing up, even when no one knows, even when you have made mistakes and the world may have turned their back; I commend you!
For the ones who are learning to believe again.
Thats the real confidence and strength. Not the performance of it. The real thing. That comes from within.
The Myth of Loud Confidence
Somewhere along the way, we were taught that confidence needed to be loud. That it had to come with flawless branding, exciting energy, and big declarations.
Confidence comes from within. It showing up even through the noise. It's trusting your voice and having the courage to act on it. Even as you tremble you stand in your truth without needing validation to hold you up. That courage exhales freedom on the other side.
As Black women, we’re constantly navigating:
Be bold, but not too bold.
Be soft, but not vulnerable.
Be seen, but not too seen.
That constant code-switching? It’s exhausting.And it’s not our truth.
What Real Confidence Actually Looks Like
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Confidence is launching your idea before it’s fully pretty.
Confidence is asking for help without guilt.
Confidence is choosing rest—without explaining yourself.
Confidence is honoring your healing, even when it’s messy.
You don’t have to be further ahead to be powerful. You don’t have to perform healing to deserve joy. You don’t have to be polished to be prophetic.
Your existence, your rhythm, your softness—that’s power.
For Black Women Healing in Silence
The resilience of our strength has given to us from our ancestors.:
We were never too much. We just have never given enough room.
We’ve had to survive in spaces that never made space for us. Now we get to choose something different:
Joy as resistance
Slowness as sovereignty
Clarity as justice
Your softness is not a flaw—it’s your strategy.Your silence is not weakness—it’s a sacred recalibration.
That silent healing will live out loud in power.
